Chris Benoit is known to the world as the most technical wrestler to date. But this status did not come overnight...the Crippler as we call him, has struggled for 18 years, before he finally captured the World Heavyweight Championship at WrestleMania XX in 2004. Chris started training at a very early age, somewhere in his middle teenage years. According to him, his passion for wrestling was born after a bunch of friends and himself attended a local wrestling show featuring the Dynamite Kid.
Benoit immediately made plans to train as a wrestler. After nearly becoming fanatics of the Dynamite Kid (he shaved his head bald because of the Kid), Benoit decided that he wanted to become just like his idol, and looked for the help of the Harts. Benoit was overjoyed to be actually training with the legendary Stu Hart (father of Bret & Owen), who 'molded' Benoit in his training center known as the 'Dungeon'.
